This edition features a special evening with Karnataka Kalashri Anuradha Vikranth and the Drishti Art Centre Dance Ensemble, bringing together scholarship, movement and devotion through a talk, lecture demonstration and dance performance.
The evening opens with a talk on Bharathiya Culture and Dance Tradition, followed by a lecture-demonstration Enhancing Dance Performance Through Yoga: A Study of Stamina, Technique and Postural Alignment, exploring the relationship between body conditioning, alignment and classical dance practice.
The evening culminates in Pranamya – An Ode to the Divine, a dance presentation rooted in the spiritual and aesthetic traditions of Indian classical dance, offering an evocative journey through rhythm, expression and devotion.
About the artist
A direct disciple of Padma Subrahmanyam, Anuradha Vikranth is celebrated for her mastery of tradition and her innovative approach to classical dance.
