# Through the Looking GlassA joint exhibition by Isabelle Wannenburg and Karen Gourley
*Through the Looking Glass* explores the unseen landscapes that shape the way we experience the world. Through layered abstraction and intimate wildlife works, the exhibition invites viewers to pause, look closer, and reflect on the emotional terrain beneath the surface.
Drawing on themes of memory, intuition, instinct, and connection, Isabelle Wannenburg’s abstract paintings map inner cartographies through expressive mark-making and textured compositions, while Karen Gourley’s wildlife-inspired pastel works explore quiet symbolism and the emotional resonance found within the natural world.
Together, the works move between abstraction and observation, revealing moments of stillness, reflection, and hidden detail that might otherwise go unnoticed.
