Adviser Event: Christchurch Mid Winter Dip
We’ve been braving the cold and diving in for the Live Ocean Mid-Winter Dip for seven years now, raising an incredible amount of money along the way. This year, I’m inviting advisers to join me and help make an even bigger splash for this important cause.
For every adviser who takes the plunge, Generate will donate $500 to the Live Ocean Foundation. Last year we raised $70,000, and this year we’re aiming even higher.
Why do we do it?
The Mid-Winter Dip is held in June to align with World Ocean Day on 8 June each year. It’s a global movement to protect and restore our oceans — something that’s close to our hearts.
Our charity partner, the Live Ocean Foundation, was co-founded by Olympic and America’s Cup sailors Peter Burling and Blair Tuke. They support high-impact marine conservation projects across Aotearoa and beyond, helping protect marine life and raise awareness of the urgent challenges facing our oceans.
As one of our key charity partners, we’re proud to get involved each year to raise both funds and awareness for the incredible work Live Ocean does.
So grab your togs, gather your crew, and take the plunge on Monday 8 June at New Brighton Beach, meeting at 9.30am near the He Puna Taimoana Hot Pools.
After our dip, the hot pools are booked. You’ll be welcomed with a cup of hot berry juice to warm up, followed by entry into the pools and morning tea at 11:30am.
