This Is Aging: A Conversation on Age-Friendly Communities

Facilitated by Amanda O'Rourke (Executive Director, 8 80 Cities) and alumni of the University of Toronto's Intergenerational Classroom

Join us at 8 80 Cities on Friday March 27, 2026 from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM (ET) forThis Is Aging, a dynamic series of workshops that aims to challenge stereotypes about aging and foster connection across generations.

Join us for an interactive session where we explore how we can create age-friendly communities that can benefit individuals of all ages. We will present case studies, and work through them together to build greater awareness, identify indicators of age-friendly spaces, and brainstorm strategies to better create inclusive and supportive environments for everyone.

In this session, we will have an open conversation about the benefits of age-friendly communities, cities, and spaces, which allow people to live and engage fully regardless of their age or abilities. We will consider age-friendly communities from the perspectives of both younger and older generations.

It's a chance to share stories, learn from each other, and connect with people of all ages. We invite you to be part of the conversation about aging, life, and everything in between!

This event is free (but registration is required), and open to all seniors, students, caregivers, educators, healthcare professionals, and interested community members. Light refreshments will be provided.

We invite you to join us at our other This Is Aging sessions. Please find a list of other sessions here:
