Though critical thinking is frequently praised, it is usually relegated to a nebulous buzzword meaning almost anything. On Sunday, May 24, 2026, Jeffrey Nall, Ph.D. will draw on more than a decade of experience studying, practicing, and teaching the subject to explain what critical thinking is and isn’t. Speaking before the River of Grass Unitarian Universalist Congregation, Dr. Nall aims to help us confront the unreliability of our ordinary modes of thought. Drawing insight from the humanities he also outlines the characteristics of good thinking that enable us to achieve integrity—wholeness—in our lives. Nall contends that our individual and social wellbeing requires us all to embrace intellectual humility and recognize just how easy it is to be wrong and how difficult it can be to be right
The event is free and open to the public. The talk will take place in person, at the River of Grass Unitarian Universalist Congregation, 11850 W State Rd 84 Suite A9 Davie, FL. The event begins at 10:30am. For more information on the event go to https://riverofgrassuu.org/
