Theodora

Following on from their previous highly succesful productions, Jericho Youth Opera bring you their final performance, a fully staged production of Handel's oratorio, Theodora. Set in the 4th century AD, it tells the story of a young christian noblewoman,Theodora, who refuses to submit to the dictates of the Roman govenor, Valens and worship the Roman gods. Her faith eventually leads to her death alongside her dearest friend, Didymus. With striking contemporary themes, this work tells its story with some of Handel's most sublimely beautiful and moving music.
