Theater/Performance: Does Anybody Hear Us? (May 14 & 15)

Join us at the Blue Spirit Art Studio & Gallery May 14 & 15 at 7:00 pm for an unforgettable performance that celebrates the voices of Appalachian women. The performance was born from the playwright’s encounter of figurative art in exhibition. Consultation between artist and playwright gave rise to a series of stories motivated by the art pieces. The gallery owner and studio artist serving as producer of the piece agreed to host the performance and the figurative art in exhibition. The painter was introduced to the project as their work paralleled the exhibition thematically. The composer and lyricist was engaged by the playwright to produce an original theme to accompany the entire project.
