The YYCS Annual Home or Micro School Students ages 6 to 17 are encouraged to register for one of the intended events, either the spelling bee or the My Soap Box Public Speaking and Free Expression Showcase.Students who register will receive a list of words in accordance with their grade level. YYCS will host Spelling Bee Prep & Practice meetings every other week online and monthly in person until the week before the competition. We will also assist students who have a poem, story, song etc they would like to share please encourage them to also register for our Soap Box portion of the event that we pray will help our students build courage and strength in their social presence. Soap Box Participants will be called on to share their gifts throughout the Spelling Bee event. Every participant will receive a framed participation certificate with their name and school to commemorate the event, along with a participation care package. Spelling Bee participants will be rewarded 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place cash prizes. 1st=$100, 2nd = $50 , 3rd = $25. Each participant will be awarded a framed certificate, participation metal and care package.
