Petit Village Records is stoked to present California’s The Wind-Ups on April 3, 2026 at Petit Ours! The Wind-Ups will be joined by local garage psych juggernauts Technicolor Blood and Miracle Ice Cubes!
The Wind-Ups is a lo-fi punk and power pop project from Northern California, primarily the project of musician Jake Sprecher (known for his work with Terry Malts, Smokescreens, and as a sideman for Jonathan Richman). The band is known for its high-energy, distorted analog sound that blends the grit of the Ramones with syrupy melodies, and is characterized by "saturated analog grit" and "rhythmic fuzzed-out power pop" recorded to 1/4" tape.
The Wind-Ups latest album “Confection” is out now via Dandy Boy Records and has been described as “A cotton candy rock’n’roll blitzkrieg”.
