The Wild Bloom is an immersive, three-night event series that transforms our gallery into a dynamic stage for interdisciplinary, boundary-pushing work.On any given night you might discover a performance blending movement with poetry, an interactive improv group, or an unexpected, comedic guided meditation. By inviting audiences into participatory, socially engaged performances, The Wild Bloom deepens connection to the arts in a space designed for creative experimentation and cultural dialogue.
Night 1 Lineup — May 16 (in no order)
Kevin Hoth - Corporate Corpus Body Scan Meditation: Kevin Hoth will guide participants through a present-focused body scan meditation. Attention will move methodically from the toes to the crown (which may require some deep cleaning). Along the way, subtle obstructions—those that interfere with one’s capacity to function smoothly within established consumerist systems—may be observed and released.
Elle Hong & Josh Ware - 10SHINS // LIMBSCAPE: A contact improvisation for two bodies that affirms/dissolves a subject's boundaries, both through riding/interrupting momentum and sensing self through contact with another.
Kenzie Sitterud - Post-it Note from Patriot: Kenzie will perform a patriotic flag-retiring ceremony, drawing on their research of the Flag Code, while engaging the audience with a syncopated Pledge of Allegiance and a National Anthem soundtrack. The performance will be a hyper-patriotic ceremony as commentary on who and what is defined by patriotism held in accordance with the flag code.
