ABOUT THE MUSIC

J.S. Bach’s dance suites have inspired centuries of composers, including Fauré and Schoenberg. Fauré's gorgeous Masques et Bergamasques offers an impressionist take on the dance suite genre. Schoenberg's Suite in G, meanwhile, demonstrates this modernist's debt to the Western tradition.
