The Weisstronauts are a hard-to-pigeonhole instrumental ensemble. (Are they a surf band? A boozy lounge act? A countrified chicken-pickin’ combo? A tripped out psych band? A freak-rock monstrosity? A spy movie theme time machine? All of the above?)Led by Boston-based producer/engineer/mixer Pete Weiss, The ‘Nauts have toured all over the east coast and sometimes farther, releasing seven full-length albums and four mini-albums. Their latest release, “Hamming It Down,” peaked at #3 on the national alt-country radio chart in the spring of 2023.
