We invite you to this immersive and authentic experience of tea, exploring the history of tea and tea ceremony as it emerged in the Tang dynasty (618-907AD). Guided by a beloved tea expert, who has travelled to Yunnan and Fujian to learn about authentic tea culture and tea ceremony. We hope to offer you a peaceful, healing, and reflective space, an invitation to slow down and encounter the way of Tea, in flow, in music, and in dance.
In this workshop, you will have:
- Two mini lectures on the history and traditions of Tea in China, and the Classic of Tea (Cha Jing)
- A tea ceremony with a guided brewing lesson and hands-on practice
- A brief time of quiet meditation
- A closing of traditional Chinese music with Guzheng (played by Yining Lu), and traditional Chinese dance (performed by Xinyi Shen)
Space is limited to 20 people. Advanced registration is required.
