About this Event
Much like the landscape in which it thrives, Appalachian music is beautiful, strong, and at times challenging. Sarah “Songbird” Burkey sings of life and death, everyday events and wild imagination, joy and pain in this two hour concert celebrating the unique culture, stories, and singing style of Appalachia. Raised in rural Kentucky, Sarah’s songwriting and incomparable vocals feature in numerous films and albums and earned her international acclaim as an authentic voice for Roots Music.
This event forms part of Carnegie Hall's United in Sound: America at 250 festival.
