Spring is here — and that means it's time to reset the bookshelf and find your village.
Join us for The Village Read, a free monthly gathering where Brooklyn families come together to read, swap books, and connect. Dig out a gently loved book your little one has outgrown, bring it along, and trade it for a fresh new read to kick off the season. While the kids settle in for a cozy read-in, parents get a moment to breathe, snack, and meet other families in the neighborhood.
Because every little reader deserves a new story — and every parent deserves their village. 🌸
What to expect:
- A cozy, welcoming read-in space for kids and caregivers
- A book swap — bring one, take one
- Light refreshments
- Great conversation with fellow parents
- A monthly reset the whole family will look forward to
What to bring: One gently used book in good condition to swap Best for: Little readers ages 4–11 — siblings and caregivers of all ages welcome Cost: Free — registration is highly suggested so we can plan for your family
