It's the week after London Games Festival!
Two Important Notes:
Wristbands
Although this is also considered free entry, to participate in the voting rounds, you need to purchase a (Wrist)Band of Directors to join the 'Band of Directors'.
Video Recording & Promotional Material Consent
There will be continuous video recordings on 360 degree cameras (not live-streamed) of the whole night.
The video footage will be used for promotional material in the form of at least the following:
- Instagram posts (with Boost for Ads)
- Eventbrite event pages for future gigs
- Physical hand-out flyers
Additionally may also be featured on:
- YouTube
To request to not be featured in future highlights and promotions, inform the DJ.
What's the gig?
A live DJ performance driven by the crowd that changes the course of the mix by choosing a new music genre every 30-minute clock mark.
The audience will experience this alongside synchronised light fixtures and video edited in preparation.
Example Scenario:
20:00 – Round 1 starts with the DJ (ADRENALen) reading the crowd, then types out two genres to display on the TV screen - 'Big Beat' and 'Breakbeat'
The 'Band of Directors' have 30 seconds to choose by standing to the left or right of the dancefloor respectively.
The side with the most people triggers the mix to the new direction - Majority is 'Big Beat'.
On the rare occasion the vote is tied, both genres will be played.
20:30 - Based on the last Round, ADRENALen thinks of two genres that transition well into Round 2. It now displays 'House' and 'Drum & Bass' - The crowd should know what to do next.
This continues on every 30-minute clock mark until time ends at midnight. This means there will be 8 chances/rounds in a DJ set. Energy levels of each track will be considered & selected depending on crowd behaviour & engagement.
