Parents and carers are free to drop off or stay, we have a parent zone with refreshments if you stay.
This holiday Art school will focus on exploring the story 'The Tiger who came to Tea' as a starting point. We will start with collective reading & story time to set the scene for the day. Children will then begin to create their own painted tiger art inspired by the story exploring colour & painted mark making techniques using a variety of tools.
The painting activity will be broken into small chunks to help with drying time & concentration. This will enable the children to carry out many other engaing activities such as afternoon tea role play, an investigation of tiger habitats, tiger inspired games & a lunchbreak.
Children will need to bring a packed lunch & drink. Please avoid packing nuts so we can ensure a safe environemnt for all the the children attending.
Important information:
The class is run by insured DBS checked qualified art teachers and a first aider will be present.
The class is aimed at children in the age range 5-11. Children younger than 5 cannot attend even with a sibling.
As we are an Art school children are likely to get messy. Although we provide aprons we ask that children wear old clothing that you do not mind getting spoilt.
Parents are free drop off but we ask that you stay nearby and collect at the end of the session. Alternatively, if you would prefer to stay there is space for you to relax or work.
The location is the Servite Parish Centre on Cavendish Road M7 4 WP . This is located directly behind Our Lady of Dolours Church on Bury New Road (near Lidl). Parking is on the street, please do not park across driveways of residents on the road.
Once your booking has been confirmed, one of our team will be in touch for you to complete a short form to provide us with medical and photography consent.
