In a hidden West London space, strangers are invited to spend fifteen minutes alone with a panda.
Part Oracle, part immersive theatre, part joyful refuge, The Thrift Oracle invites visitors into a playful one-to-one encounter led by the enigmatic JOY Bomb Panda. Guests enter alone. They leave carrying a mysterious gift - along with an experience many struggle to explain afterwards.
Over the course of fifteen minutes, audiences are guided through a modern divination ritual filled with hidden messages, unexpected treasures and moments of delight and connection. Combining humour, theatricality and curiosity, The Thrift Oracle offers what creator and artist Amy Broch calls a “joy drop” - a temporary interruption to the pace and pressures of modern life.
Following the underground success of the JOY Café installation, the Panda now returns by popular demand.
