About this Event

About This Event

Join us for The Story Collector, a fun, imaginative experience designed for families to create, explore, and connect through storytelling and live music brought to you by Children’s Classic Concerts (CCC) with The Village Storytelling Centre.

Taking place on Saturday 1 August at The Boardwalk (Impact Arts), Glasgow, this interactive event combines film, creativity, and performance in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

Each 1-hour session begins with a screening of How the Seasons Came to Be, CCC’s latest concert film, before families are guided through a series of engaging activities led by professional storytellers and musicians.

You’ll:

  • 🎨 Design and draw your own unique character
  • 🥁 Explore the sounds your character might make through live music
  • 💬 Share ideas and build stories with other families
  • 🎶 Experience your creations brought to life through sound and performance

The session ends with a lively group sharing, celebrating the stories and characters created together.

After the workshop, families are invited to visit our recording booths to capture their character on video or audio—creating a special keepsake to take home.
