The St. Thomas More Guild Annual Luncheon
The St. Thomas More Guild Annual Luncheon will be held Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at 12:00 pm at the Buffalo Convention Center.
This year, the Guild will recognize David Mineo. David Mineo is Chief Compliance Officer at Madison Title, a national title insurance agent based in Lakewood, New Jersey. He has over three decades of legal experience, with deep expertise in title insurance, real estate law, and regulatory compliance in both the United States and Canada. David has presented extensively on title insurance and real property law for organizations including the New York State Bar Association, Bar Association of Erie County, New York State Land Title Association, and St. John’s Law School. He currently serves on the Executive Committee of the NYSBA Real Property Law Section where he is the chairman of the legislation committee and is an active member of the Bar Association of Erie County. His community leadership includes service as past Chair of the Erie County Board of Ethics, past President of the St. Thomas More Guild, and current Treasurer of the Foundation of Catholic Health.
Our guest speaker is Fr. Francis Mary Roaldi, CFR. Fr. Francis Mary Roaldi is a native of Buffalo, NY and entered the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal in 1999. He made his perpetual profession in 2004, was ordained 2008 and then spent 6 wonderful years in Central America. In 2014 he returned to the United States to take up the role of novice director, which he dedicated himself to for 9 years until he was elected General Vicar of his congregation. In his free time, he has the joy directing retreats for seminarians, religious and priests, studying Franciscan literature, and befriending Saints.
This year, we will also remember and honor the extraordinary contribution Reverend Monsignor Salvatore Manganello, STL, JCL made to the St. Thomas More Guild. Father Sal's presence, guidance, and generosity of spirit were integral to the life of the Guild, and he will be deeply missed. While it will not be the same without him, we hope to acknowledge his legacy in a way that reflects the profound impact he had on our community. Ordained to the priesthood on September 17, 1982, he began his ministry with pastoral assignments in Portageville, Canaseraga, Kenmore, and Niagara Falls, steadily combining parish service with a growing vocation for canon law. He was the longtime moderator and guiding presence of the Saint Thomas More Guild, offering steady leadership, pastoral wisdom, and deep respect for the rule of law in service to Catholic legal professionals.
We will also honor this year's scholarship winners.
