About this Event
About the Event
Menstrual health affects most women, yet far too many face these challenges in silence. Conditions such as Fibroids, Endometriosis, PCOS, and PMDD can have life-altering impacts on both physical and mental health — but open conversation and community support remain rare.
The Sharing Group Experience is here to change that.
Join us for an empowering and judgement-free afternoon of awareness, advocacy, and shared experience — a space created by women, for women, to speak freely about menstrual and mental health.
Date: 12th December
- Time: 11:00am - 2:30pm
- Where: RDCS Royal Docks Centre for Sustainability, University of East London, University way, E16 2RD: Room: RD2.04 Hackathon space
What You’ll Experience
- Real stories and open discussions about living with PMDD, Fibroids, Endometriosis, and PCOS
- Practical tools for self-advocacy and navigating the NHS
- A safe community space to connect with women who truly understand
- Food and refreshments to support both body and mind
About the Host
Celia Manuel is a former actor, entrepreneur, and menstrual health advocate dedicated to raising awareness around women’s reproductive and mental health — particularly conditions that disproportionately affect Black women.
Through The Sharing Group, Celia has created a safe platform for women to share their stories, build confidence, and find solidarity in their health journeys.
