To kick off the 2025 year, the SHAKEDOWN journeys back to where it all started 23 years ago… Silk City. Philly’s own PETE MOSS & SEAN THOMAS will be flexing their house music expertise on the Solomonic Sound System. Reuniting from their ’Steady Saturdays’ at club Fluid over 20 years ago! We couldn’t be more excited to host these two Philly house music DJ/Producer staples at our first Shakedown of 2025.Pete Moss:
Philadelphia based Pete Moss knows a thing or two about house music having traveled the world in search of the ultimate underground dance floors, and releasing over 150 projects on top labels such as, Ovum, Dessous, ALola, Definity, Large, Seamless, I records, MN2's, Acryl and dozens of others, including his own underground Recline imprint. Known as one of the finest late night/underground Dj's on the map, crushing it at Fabric London, La Terrazza Barcelona, Roxy Prague, Salon Daome Montreal, Harlot San Francisco, King King L.A, The Arches GLasgow, La Santanera PDC Mexico, Rioma Mexico City, Smartbar Chicago, Living Room Miami, among others, Pete has a reputation for giving his all at every gig and leaving people touched and inspired by his signature deep and eclectic sound. Candy Talk Records kicked off 2021 with its twenty-second release, featuring the first in a two part retrospective compilation "The Days", from label favorite, Philly's deep house aficionado, Pete Moss. This two-part retrospective compiled by label head Colette features some of Moss' most memorable moments, with many tracks originally only available in limited quantities. These hand chosen tracks have all been remastered for today's modern fidelity.
Pete Moss is celebrating 30 years doing his underground thing, over 300 records and countless shows later and has a special mix to mark the occasion. Look out for tour dates near you... Enjoy the mix!

Sean Thomas:
Philadelphia's Sean Thomas has been steadily involved with subversive dance culture for more than 25 years. Recruited early on by well-respected Philly rave crew Circle (fka Special K), proper sound systems and diy event production were standard fare. While working for 611 Records and holding down a 4 year Saturday residency with Pete Moss at Philly's legendary Fluid Nightclub, an enthusiasm for well made House and Techno developed into a way of life. As founder and resident of the long-running Drumsong event series, Sean's experience and versatility were evidenced by innovative programming and dedicated habitués. In 2014, he accepted a residency with revered Philly Techno collective, Rizumu. With a shared passion for cultivating community through music, they partnered to open the loft space in West Philly known as 52Hz for a more than 3 year run of unique, all-night events and artistic collaborations. Special times and tales. More recently, Sean's focus has slowly shifted toward transitioning Drumsong from the over 10 year event series into the more comprehensive and introspective notion, Drumsong Soundsystems. As Producer, Sean’s music has found support with discerning DJs across the map for more than 2 decades, with original releases, remixes and licensing on labels: For Those That Knoe, Perfect Location, Worship Recordings, Sound Between Movement, Illusion Recordings, Recline Records, Nordic Trax, Warmth Records & DiY Discs.
