THE SHADOW OF SISTERHOOD

A workshop exploring the, often unspoken, dynamics between women.

This two-day workshop invites you to gently explore the hidden, taboo, and sometimes disowned aspects of sisterhood. In order that we might liberate the gold within the shadows.

Held with somatic safety and nervous system care at the forefront.

You will be invited to slowly take off any masks of politeness and social conditioning.

To explore the parts of you that may have been exiled - parts that may have been shamed, suppressed, or labelled as "too much" or "not enough".

To give voice to dyamics between women that might be keeping each other smaller than we truly are.

In reclaiming these parts, we aim to liberate the power, life force and creativity contained within them.

This workshop is for women who want to step into their wholeness in the presence of other women.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THIS WORKSHOP:

  • Embodiment practices to support us in dropping out of the head and into present moment aliveness

  • Nervous system practices to support regulation and somatic safety in the group.

  • An exploration of the judgments and projections we hold towards other women and how to re-own them for ourselves and alchemise them into power. (Judgements and projections within the group will not be named without consent).

  • Embodied circle work, where we will explore expanding our range of expression. Where we reclaim energies that were not allowed, whilst being held and witnessed by the group. e.g. being "too much", sensual/sexual expression, the bitch, the taker, the victim, being "too needy", etc.

  • Embodied circle work giving space to what has not been completed relationally with women in our lives, and liberating energy that may be held in those relationships.

  • Embodied circle work to release any shame we may be holding.

  • Exploring the transpersonal intelligence that exists in the wisdom between our bodies.

  • A space that offers permission for all parts of you. That welcomes your 'No' as much as your 'yes. Where your consent and capacity is always honoured.

  • A space that holds light and shadow, play and depth as equally important.

WHO IS THIS WORKSHOP FOR?:

  • Women of all ages (21+), races, religions, sexualities.

  • People who were born biologically female and who identify as being a woman.

  • People who have already done some personal development work and who are not new to personal development workshop spaces.

  • Those who already have a good integration of communicating boundaries and consent and receiving other's boundaries and consent.

  • People who feel comfortable dropping into their body and experiencing sensations.

  • People who feel comfortable with navigating personal triggers. (There will be trauma informed assistants in the space, but a degree of self holding through potentially triggering material may be required).

  • People who may feel both excited and a little nauseous at the though of this workshop!

WHO IS THIS WORKSHOP NOT FOR:

  • Those with active open trauma that may require more holding than a group space can offer.

  • Those who cannot commit to both days of the process (Sat 13th and Sunday 14th Sept). Participation in both days is important for your personal holding and safety, and for supporting group coherence and safety. We hold that an important part of sisterhood is showing up for one another. Of course if there is an emergency or illness, life sometimes needs to take priorty. But a prior commitment to both days is an agreement of the container.
