Új albumával érkezik a The Rumjacks.Az ír kocsmazene ausztrál fenegyereke, a The Rumjacks visszatér Magyarországra, hogy új lemezével, a Dead Anthems-zel perdítse táncra az Analog Music Hall közönségét szeptember 13-án.
A The Rumjacks egy kelta punk zenekar, akiket a napos Sydney-ben kapott el az ír varázslat, 2008-as alakulásuk óta pedig a műfaj egyik alapbandájává változtak. A hangos és energikus fellépéseiről ismert együttes 2011-es An Irish Pub Song című dalával keltett először nagyobb hullámokat nemzetközi vizeken (a dalt azóta közel 100 millióan játszottak le YouTube-on), mostanra pedig már a hatodik nagylemezükkel kelnek át az óceánon.
A tavaly megjelent Dead Anthems remek kritikákat kapott mind a nemzetközi sajtótól, mind a rajongóktól, többen az év legjobb kelta punk lemezének kiáltották ki. Az új albumot az amerikai New Jersey állambeli Asbury Parkban vették fel, és a The Rumjacks énekese, Mike Rivkees volt a lemez társproducere Pete Steinkopf (a The Bouncing Souls alapítója) mellett, aki olyan előadók lemezein dolgozott már, mint a Beach Slang, a The Menzingers és Brian Fallon (Gaslight Anthem).
Aki járt már The Rumjacks koncerten, annak valószínűleg mondani sem kell miért kihagyhatatlan, aki pedig nem, annak itt a lehetőség arra, hogy egy estére egy hamisíthatatlan ír kocsmába képzelje magát, ahol a zenekar lélekszakadva húzza a talpalávalót és mi gondtalanul rophatjuk, amíg a lábunk bírja szeptember 13-án, az Analog Music Hallban.

The Rumjacks arrive to Budapest with their new album.
The Australian hellraisers of Irish pub music, The Rumjacks, return to Hungary to get the crowd of Analog Music Hall dancing with their new record, Dead Anthems, on September 13.
The Rumjacks are a Celtic punk band struck by Irish magic in sunny Sydney, and since their formation in 2008 they have become one of the defining acts of the genre. Known for their loud and energetic performances, the band first made waves internationally with their 2011 song An Irish Pub Song (which has since been played nearly 100 million times on YouTube), and now they are crossing the ocean with their sixth studio album.
Released last year, Dead Anthems received excellent reviews from both the international press and fans alike, with many calling it the best Celtic punk album of the year. The new album was recorded in Asbury Park, New Jersey, and was co-produced by the band’s singer Mike Rivkees alongside Pete Steinkopf (founding member of The Bouncing Souls), who has previously worked with artists such as Beach Slang, The Menzingers, and Brian Fallon (Gaslight Anthem).
Anyone who has already been to a The Rumjacks concert probably doesn’t need to be told why it’s unmissable, and for those who haven’t, here’s the chance to imagine yourself for one night in an authentic Irish pub, where the band plays their hearts out and you can dance carefree as long as your legs hold out - on September 13 at Analog Music Hall.
