About this Event
Violence manifests in various forms, including interpersonal, community, and self-directed violence. Understanding the underlying risk and protective factors that contribute to these different forms of violence is crucial for effective prevention and intervention efforts.
Through discussions, case studies, and practical examples, participants will identify common risk factors such as adverse childhood experiences, social inequities, and community-level factors, as well as protective factors like social support, access to resources, and positive relationships. Additionally, the training will highlight policy strategies for addressing shared risk factors and enhancing protective factors.
