About this Event
A walk through the Richmond Hill area and the Award-winning and now listed first phase of the Queen’s Road Estate social housing development completed in 1981, led by local architect and architectural historian Paul Velluet. Included are visits to the Richmond Charities’ recently completed Elizabeth Doughty Almshouse development fronting Queen’s Road; the newly created Cambrian Square public space; and the nearby grounds of the recently opened Thomas’s College, converted from the listed, former Richmond College – The American University in London; both recipients of Richmond Society Awards in 2025.
Meet by 7:30pm on Little Green opposite Richmond Theatre. The walk will conclude around 9:00pm with an adjournment to a local pub. These walks are very popular and are limited to just 25 members of the Society, so please book early to reserve your place.
The ticket price of £7 provides a donation to the Society's Tree Fund.
