The Renaissance series at BRLSI has charted momentous journeys of discovery in such diverse fields as literature, art, science, economics, trade, philosophy, architecture, politics and many more. The cultural exchanges between continents had a very significant impact on these developments, which are still with us today.
What lessons have we learnt from the Renaissance and what can and should we continue to learn in today’s complex, technologically and geopolitically connected world?
The final talk in this series will draw together these strands in an attempt to signal significant lessons and opportunities as we progress through the twenty-first century.
Andreas Wasmuht, BRLSI Director & Convenor
