THE QUEERSThe Queers are a seminal American punk rock band formed in 1981 in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Led by founding member Joe Queer (Joe King), they are famous for blending the high-speed energy of the Ramones with the melodic harmonies of The Beach Boys and 1960s bubblegum pop. Their music is characterized by fast, power-chord-driven guitar riffs, snotty vocals, and humorous, often juvenile lyrics about girls and beer.
