The Playhouse Project La Freak Familia Rave with La Presidenta & Moodymanc Featuring WMD Percussion.
This event is aimed at parents of 5-11 year olds however younger siblings are more than welcome. For children under 5 years old please refer to our Baby Rave session at 10.30pm - 12.30pm on the same day
Get ready for La Freak Familia Weekender - a proper Manchester Halloween blowout that brings together family fun and nightlife vibes for parents who still want to let loose. We are inviting families along to dance and create in the beautiful surroundings of the Refuge MCR.
We listened to your feedback and we are launching two rave sessions on 26th October, we have spilt the age groups of our young attendees. To ensure age appropriate activities with plenty space to move around the venue and so children can enjoy activities at their own pace.

??La Presidenta is Idania, a Puerto Rican native who made her home in Manchester over a decade ago. Naturally, a party starter and a DJ who loves to make people dance. She has played up and down the country and as far away as Croatia and back home in PR. La Presidenta has a long-running monthly radio show on Reform Radio and guest mixes on Worldwide FM/ alHara and Sutro FM.
Bringing tropical, hip shaking flavours every time she plays out, dancing, waving a fan and always smiling.
? Danny Ward aka Moodymanc is a record producer, musician & DJ he's been producing records since the mid nineties under the name ‘Dubble D'. He's collaborated and appeared on records with such luminaries as Fila Brazilia, The Pharcyde, Rae & Christian, Nightmares on Wax, Awesome 3 and a host of others but it was the cheeky monniker and imprint ‘Moodymanc’ that brought him firmly into the spotlight of House Music lovers worldwide.
? WMD Percussion - uses an innovative approach to playing percussion combining electric and acoustic.
?Expect upbeat music you cannot resist moving to, from right across the Latin Diaspora. Tropical, House & Afro Caribbean Beats.

? Cequin Circus dazzling Disco Ball Head Dancer, will make the dance floor sparkle, while their giant hoops will keep the children entertained throughout.
?Hula Hula Fun Circus Drop in expect: hula hoops, diablos, bucket stilts, spinning plates, flower sticks, gymnastic ribbons and diablos, great fun for both the kids and adults.
?️ Bricklands Lego will be offering a range of Lego based activities for budding master builders. Where children of all ages come together to create one of many Lego sets. Expect heaps of bricks, loads of wheels and bases to make gravity cars with our ramp to race them down and loads of Duplo for younger ones.
?Spooky arts with an experienced primary school teacher, Halloween themed arts and craft drop in.

THE PLAYHOUSE PROJECT is a unique family-friendly rave experience, organised by a crew of seasoned clubbers and DJ's from Manchester who are now parents. Planting position seeds into the next generation of music lovers in our city..

Terms and Conditions.
Adults without children will not be admitted.
Please remember that you remain 100% responsible for your children at all times.
Please do not leave alcoholic drinks unattended.
Music will be set to the recommended levels for little ears, child-safe club lighting, no strobe lighting used.
Please leave inflatables on the dancefloor for everyone to enjoy, please do not take inflatables out of the venue.
This event is aimed at 5-11 year olds (activities are for this age range only) however younger siblings are welcome to attend.
Photography / Video - There will be a photographer at the event, some shots will be used for publicity. Please inform a member of staff on arrival if you do not want your little ones to be photographed.
