About this Event
The Pipa Walkers 琵琶行者
Ivy TSUI × Eveline WONG
The Pipa Walkers 琵琶行者 a live collaboration between dance artist Ivy TSUI and pipa player Eveline WONG, unfolds as a poetic encounter of movement and sound within the intimate resonance of performance. Drawing from improvisation, cultural mythos, and the elemental rhythms of body and instrument, this evening weaves a space where music and movement meet in real time, inviting the audience into a shared experience of vulnerability, reflection, and transformation. Part improvisational score, part evolving story inspired by Ju-yi Bai’s Ballad of the Chinese Lute, The Pipa Walkers evokes the echoes of ancient longing and present-moment presence against the backdrop of embodied listening and collective imagination — a resonant moment in the now where meaning blossoms between sound and motion.
