Peter Portelli will discuss his writing as both an artistic expression and a disciplined craft, exploring why he chose historical fiction as his primary genre. He will highlight the importance of driving a narrative through plot and character development, and explain his decision to center his critically acclaimed debut novel on the Great Siege.
He will also reflect on the challenges and opportunities of being published both in Malta and internationally, as well as the reception his first novel received in 2023. Looking ahead, Peter will share his ambition to bring THE ORDER to a broader audience, along with insights into potential prequels, sequels, and other writing projects he has in the works.
