This Halloween Eve, The Opera Bell Band returns with a special performance of their very own Gothic masterpiece: the Tragedy at Point Peak — a bone-curdling, blood-chilling tale in which five merry balladeers foolishly embark to the top of a haunted mountain for an evening of campfire songs. As the night wears on, their innocent soiree quickly becomes a grotesque night of supernatural horrors!
Thou wilt shriek! Thy teeth will chatter involuntarily! Thy spine shall tingle! Thou wilt experience the fullest extent of the heebie-jeebies! But don’t be a scaredy-cat — arise, come forth, and take part in this musical pageant of comic panic: the Tragedy at Point Peak!
The Opera Bell Band is a Saint Louis based outfit with a madcap, eclectic style. Their work is a colorful hash of American musical traditions – wall-of-sound rock n roll, exuberant pop triviality, novelty jazz, jugband, Tin Pan Alley, calypso, cajun, and country-western balladry. Live shows incorporate elements of vaudeville, surrealist sketch comedy, and folk theater.
