Continuing Music Therapy Education Information
The Online Conference for Music Therapy (OCMT) is a virtual meeting through which music therapists from around the world can learn and interact. This conference is presented in a 24-hour live format through an online platform. Each session will be recorded and will be made available to all participants following the live session for viewing at their convenience. Each participant may select sessions and keynotes to total of twelve and one half (12.5) hours to submit for approved credit (15 CMTEs). Attendance can include synchronous viewing (watching the presentations live) or asynchronous viewing (watching the recording at a later time). A course evaluation will be made available via a dedicated electronic platform, and time will be allotted at the end of each presentation session for completion (this includes keynote speakers).
Recordings will remain open for four weeks following the close of the conference. Participants will receive specific communication as to how they may access these recordings as soon as they are made available. Remaining sessions (including course evaluations) may be submitted to CBMT as self-study hours following the procedures described in the Recertification Handbook found at www.cbmt.org.
Certificates of completion will be delivered electronically once the required number of course evaluations have been collected. Attendance and completion of presentation viewing may be subject to verification through the OCMT user platform. The conference software generates a list of users who have accessed recorded information and who attended the synchronous presentation. The completion of course evaluations will offer additional proof of attendance as information on how to access the course evaluations will be made available during each presentation.
