The OPD pathway was launched in October 2011 and is a strategy to reduce offending and improve psychological health and wellbeing of people likely to meet the diagnostic criteria for personality disorder in the criminal justice system
The OPD Pathway is a jointly funded partnership between His Majesty’s Pr*son and Probation Service (HMPPS) and NHS England.
During this free seminar speakers will discuss how they use evidence-based relational and environmental approaches, which aim to reduce risk associated with serious reoffending and improve mental health within a high-risk, high-harm cohort likely to meet the clinical threshold for a diagnosis of ‘personality disorder’.
The OPD Pathway has been set up as a ‘demonstrator’ initiative; it aims to pilot and evaluate new approaches to interventions for this highly complex group.
