About this Event
"The Nightingale Singers" were founded in 1987 by members of the "Halle Choir", who wanted to experience an even wider range of songs, including not only classical, but jazz, folk, pop and music from the shows. They rehearse at St Thomas's Church, Bowlee, Middleton, and perform half a dozen concerts a year. Since 2004 they have been directed by Ken Greaves, and during this time they have performed in the North of England, Midlands and North Wales. In 2010 they did a three-concert tour of Madeira, in July 2013 a concert tour of Brittany, and now perform each summer in the Colwyn Bay area of North Wales. St Paul's is incredibly lucky to have them perform for us.
This is a free charitable event with prosecco/wine and soft drinks included. Donations are welcome towards the restoration of our Grade II listed building and to help us raise funds for a permanent ramp to enable access for all to our beautiful church.
