About The Event
Orchestras, artists, dreamers, heroes and trailblazers from across the globe are gathering in Toronto to proclaim a simple truth: Music changes everything. With music education, children grow up to achieve significantly more academically, socially and interpersonally. They connect better with others, and create better careers for themselves.
The joy of their music is only magnified by the miracle of their story. The Mully Family Children’s Choir is part of the inspirational Mully Children’s Family (MCF). Founder Dr. Charles Mully, once an abandoned child on the streets of Kenya, rose to become one of his country’s most successful businessmen. Then, in a remarkable act of compassion and purpose, gave it all up – selling his businesses and dedicating his life to rescuing orphaned and vulnerable children in Kenya and Tanzania.
Since 1989, more than 23,000 children have found safety through the MCF program, which provides not just food and shelter, but education, vocational training and spiritual guidance, enabling them to build strong, healthy self-reliant lives.
In the Mully Children’s family, choral singing is part of every child’s education and their touring choir is joyful, moving and mesmerizing in the beauty of their heartfelt expression of delight, gratitude and their sheer love of life.
