📍 Venue Description: The **Park Theatre** is one of London’s most dynamic Off-West End venues, known for bold programming, fresh writing, and a strong community spirit. Since opening in 2013, it has become a vital creative hub in Finsbury Park, presenting a mix of new plays, revivals, and international work across its two intimate spaces.
With a strong focus on accessibility, affordability, and artistic excellence, Park Theatre champions emerging talent and underrepresented voices — earning a reputation as one of London’s most important smaller theatres.
### **The history of the Park Theatre**
Opened in 2013, Park Theatre was founded by artistic director Jez Bond and actor Andy Nyman. Built from a converted office block just moments from Finsbury Park Station, the venue was developed with a clear mission: to bring high-quality theatre to the local community while supporting new voices in the industry.
With support from high-profile patrons including Ian McKellen and Alan Rickman, Park Theatre quickly rose to prominence. It now houses two performance spaces — Park200, a 200-seat main theatre, and Park90, a flexible studio space — and has premiered numerous acclaimed productions, many of which have transferred to the West End and beyond.
### **Where is The Park Theatre?**
Park Theatre is located just a stone’s throw from Finsbury Park Station, at Clifton Terrace, N4, in North London. Nestled in a quiet street just off the bustling Stroud Green Road, the theatre is surrounded by lively cafés, pubs, and restaurants.

The nearest station is **Finsbury Park** (Victoria and Piccadilly Lines), less than a 2-minute walk away. Use the Wells Terrace exit to reach the theatre quickly.

The Park90 studio is a flexible, smaller venue that can be configured in multiple ways, hosting more experimental or up-close performances.
### **The Park Theatre accessibility**
Park Theatre is fully accessible, with step-free access, wheelchair spaces, accessible toilets, and an infrared hearing system. Assistance dogs are welcome, and staff are on hand to assist guests with additional access needs.
