About this Event
Be here as our 2026 Speaker Series continues with Daniel J. Flynn, who will discuss his latest book, The Man Who Invented Conservatism, a sweeping and surprising account of Frank Meyer, the man who forged the intellectual blueprint—fusionism—that would later animate figures like Barry Goldwater & Ronald Reagan.
A History Columnist for National Review Online, a former U.S. Marine Corps reservist and a 2024–2025 Hoover Institution Visiting Fellow, Flynn brings both intellectual rigor and lived experience to the questions shaping American conservatism in the Age of Trump.
His work has appeared in The Wall Street Journal, City Journal, The Boston Globe, The Los Angeles Times, and The Chicago Tribune and he is the author of seven books, including Intellectual Morons, Cult City, and Blue Collar Intellectuals. And he has just launched a new youtube channel: @RightWingWilderness.
Join us for an evening of conservatism & conversation!
