Can you go from “I can’t sing” to being part of a male voice choir in just one day?
That’s the challenge — and it’s exactly what this one-day educational choral workshop sets out to achieve.
This is a practical, hands-on learning day for men and people who identify as male, who are curious about singing, want to challenge themselves, or simply fancy trying something new. No experience needed — just a willingness to give it a go and be up for a laugh.
From the very first morning rehearsal, you’ll be singing. And it’s a proper challenge: over the course of the day, you’ll learn three songs in four-part harmony, working at pace and discovering what’s possible when a group of people commit to learning fast and singing together.
Led by a team of expert choir leaders, you’ll learn how to use your voice safely and confidently, lock in with others, and build the core skills of male-voice choir ensemble singing. You’ll work both as a full choir and in smaller sectional groups, developing technique, listening, rhythm, blend, and stamina — all through doing, not being talked at.
Not sure if you’re a Tenor, Baritone, or Bass? Don’t worry — you’ll definitely know by the end of the day. Do you identify as female but usually sing Tenor? Then our next event (information coming soon!) will be the perfect fit!
This challenge isn’t about being “good” or sounding perfect. It’s about learning quickly, having fun, and seeing what can happen when a bunch of like-minded people set out to achieve something awesome together. The day finishes with an informal end-of-day public performance, giving you the chance to put your new skills into action in a relaxed, supportive setting and feel the buzz of a male voice choir from the inside.
For those who want to go a bit deeper, optional one-to-one vocal consultations are available with one of the workshop leaders. These offer personalised, educational guidance if you’ve ever wondered how your voice works or how to get more from it.
No auditions. No pressure. Just a day of working hard, laughing a lot, and leaving having done something you probably didn’t think was possible that morning.
