The Malay Cook supper club, created by Ranie Saidi, has become a must-attend event for food lovers in London. This dining experience is designed to bring people together over the Malay flavours of Malaysia, served in a warm and convivial setting.

Ranie’s culinary journey began in his grandmother’s kitchen in a Malay village, where he learned the essence of traditional Malay cooking. After moving to London to study law a decade ago, he found his passion for hospitality while working at a Malaysian café. This led him to a career in brand and marketing for a prominent hotel, where he collaborated with chefs such as Andi Oliver and Thomasina Miers OBE. His work on the 'Dinner with Friends' supper club series at Red Rooster Restaurant in Shoreditch gained recognition from Vogue, Vanity Fair, The New York Times, and The Telegraph.

Ranie has also hosted residencies at Soho House and led guest chef supper clubs across London. His supper clubs are more than just meals—they are an invitation to explore the rich heritage of Malay cuisine of Malaysia while sharing the joy of good food in great company.
