From the producers of the groundbreaking documentary The (M) Factor comes The (M) Factor 2: Before The Pause (Perimenopause), a powerful new film continuing the vital conversation about women’s hormones, health, and the changes that shape this stage of life.

Blending expert insights with women’s real experiences, the film looks at how perimenopause affects your heart, bone, brain, and sexual health, and the solutions helping women thrive through it.

Following a wonderful women's health event at 390 Social in the spring, Dr Shelly Latte-Naor (@shelly_lattenaor_md) and Jen Halpin (@jenhalpin_inhc) are excited to gather again for an fun evening of insights and shared experiences. All are welcome!

Speaker Bios

Dr. Shelly Latte-Naor is a board-certified Internist, Integrative Medicine Physician, and Menopause Care Specialist. She focuses on Mind-Body Medicine and non-pharmacologic practices to support cancer patients during treatment and survivorship. Dr. Latte-Naor advises patients on evidence-based complementary therapies that optimize treatment adherence, minimize side effects, and enhance quality of life.

Her work centers on alleviating menopausal symptoms in cancer survivors, using a proactive, patient-centered approach grounded in evidence-based midlife women’s health.

A native of Berlin, Dr. Latte-Naor earned her medical degree from Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center and an Infectious Disease fellowship at Mount Sinai St. Luke’s and Mount Sinai West. She is also a graduate of the Integrative Medicine Fellowship at the University of Arizona.

With over a decade of practice in Mindfulness Meditation, Dr. Latte-Naor is trained to teach Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and has extensive training in hypnotherapy with the Society for Clinical and Experimental Hypnosis. She also specializes in Behavioral Sleep Medicine, using an integrative approach to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBTi).

Most recently, Dr. Latte-Naor served as the Director of the Mind-Body Medicine Program at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and held academic roles at Weill Cornell Medical College. Her research has focused on non-pharmacologic symptom management, particularly addressing menopausal symptoms in cancer survivors and mindfulness-based interventions for cancer-related pain. She co-led the MORE Relief study, investigating the use of Mindfulness-Oriented Recovery Enhancement (MORE) for cancer pain relief.

Dr. Latte-Naor has authored several articles and book chapters on integrative medicine in oncology, including a chapter on Integrative Oncology in the Textbook of Cancer Supportive Care and Survivorship (2nd edition), published by the Multinational Association of Supportive Care in Cancer.

Currently, she serves as lead physician for the early preventive health startup Aura, collaborates with the national women’s health platform MIDI, and sees patients in private practice across New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.


Jen Halpin is a Women’s Health Coach (INHC) and fitness instructor with MoveRunPlay focusing on Walk/Run, Trail Workouts and Strength programs. She began her career programming the Saturday Morning cartoons on ABC and was Head of Programming at Nickelodeon Australia. Currently, Jen is Chairman of the Advisory Board at Old First Nursery School and on the School Leadership Team at PS 321. In 2023, Jen started the Women's Health Affinity Group at PS 321 as a way for new and old friends to connect and find community in shared experiences. In May 2025, at a PS 321 Women's Health group event with Dr Shelly Latte-Naor, Jen announced on stage her recent diagnosis of DCIS stage 0 Breast Cancer. Jen is happy to report she is cancer free and a passionate advocate for menopausal education for all early breast cancer patients. Jen lives in Park Slope, Brooklyn with her husband, son and two mini-dachshunds Venus & Apollo.
