About this Event
Your child's school issued them a Chromebook. Do you know what's on it?
Most parents don't — and that's not an accident. EdTech companies have spent billions getting into classrooms, and districts signed contracts that most parents have never seen. The data collection, the apps running during the school day, the "brain breaks" on YouTube — this is happening right now, in your child's school.
On June 4th at 6pm, The Long Game Parenting is bringing together local parents at the RecRoom at Lackawanna Plaza in Montclair to talk about what's actually going on in our schools — and what we can do about it.
We'll cover the research, the lawsuits, the national pushback gaining momentum, and what rights parents actually have. You'll leave with concrete next steps — including opt-out forms for edtech and standardized testing you can act on immediately.
Panel, Q&A, real talk.
