About this Event
In 2010, during a crisis of meaning, Bonnie Wan wrote a creative brief for her life, and The Life Brief was born. Her resulting Life Brief not only saved her marriage but kicked off a decade of personal and professional adventure, paved with unexpected twists and unimaginable gifts. Today, Bonnie teaches others how to get clear, get creative, and get courageous about living without regret. When she’s not leading and teaching strategy, or declaring her next Life Brief, you’ll find her with her husband, four kids, and Charlie the dog, adventuring in nature and sleeping under the stars.
As a 30-year career Brand Strategist turned Life & Leadership Strategist, Bonnie Wan not only helps some of the world’s most iconic companies innovate from a place of purpose but also guides everyday people to live with greater intention and imagination. She has been named Chief Strategy Officer of the Year and one of 100 Women to KNOW in America.
She will be iin conversation with Cari Borja, an anthropologist, clothesmaker, salonniere, and educator who currently serves as Senior Advisor to Alice Waters. Cari received her Ph.D. in cultural anthropology and film from UC Berkeley in 2001. Since then she has built a clothing line and a salon series while using her ethnographic skills to assist non-profits and corporations in realizing their missions. Cari has taught Design Ethnography and a seminar on desire and pleasure entitled “Since Feeling Is First" in the Graduate Program in Design at California College of the Arts. As Senior Advisor to Alice Waters, she is helping to develop the Alice Waters Institute for Regenerative Agriculture and Edible Education at the University of California.
