Fridel Meyer (Dalling-Hay) was a Bavarian born migrant to England in the 1930’s. A legendary canoeist, she attempted to circumnavigate Great Britain (twice).
Settling in Harrogate after WW2, she was involved with her second husband, Glen Dalling-Hay, in restoring the old Empire Theatre on Cheltenham Parade and is buried in Grove Road Cemetery.
There will be time from questions at the end. Tea, coffee and hot chocolate also available for £1.50
