The legend series is our monthly musical special where we pay homage to the artists, people and culture that created the music that has made The Buff Club what it is today.
Artist, visionary, multi-instrumentalist, studio genius & enigmatic performer; Prince was truly one-of-a-kind and consistently resisted categorization. It’s not clear what genre of music he played, it’s just “Prince music,” mixing R&B, funk, pop, hard rock, disco, blues, gospel, jazz, and even some folk and psychedelia.
Since 1979 with his first hit song “I Wanna Be Your Lover” Prince’s songs have been lighting up dance floors for over 40 years and his music has been a staple across all of our nights at the Buff Club since we opened our doors in 2003.
Endlessly talented and boldly diverse in sound and style, he's one of the biggest stars in musical history and the perfect candidate for the April edition of our Legends Series.
