About this Event
Please join us for Part 2 of The LBD Project: Inspiration to Blueprint (Mood Boards)
You've explored and defined your "LBD Spirit". Now, it's time to translate those high-level concepts into a tangible design language that guides your sewing. This dedicated session is all about mood boarding and inspiration, turning collective brainstorming into a final, personalized blueprint.
What We’ll Accomplish:
- Mood Board Mechanics & Review: Learn techniques for creating a physical mood board that goes beyond simple image collection. If you have already started a mood board, bring it with you! We will review it collaboratively, focusing on using the boards as dynamic tools to resolve design challenges and confirm your garment's overall "vibe."
- Finalizing the Blueprint: Use your completed mood board to lock down specific pattern features, fabric types, and yardage estimates, transitioning seamlessly into the construction phase.
What to Bring:
- Design Notes: Your ideas, sketches, and notes from the A Century of Style & Collective Design session (Part 1).
- Visual Elements: Magazines, printouts & color swatches, including any existing physical mood boards.
Note: This is a crucial step for pre-planning. A strong mood board prevents design drift and ensures your LBD Project vision remains cohesive.
Side Note for Advanced Sewists: If you have already progressed to the construction phase and are ready for a pin fitting (either in muslin or fashion fabric), please let us know so that we can allocate time for your fitting.
