Whether you’re grabbing a cold one after a night out in Copenhagen, picking up snacks in Berlin, or catching up with friends outside a kiosk in Paris, these little neighborhood spots are often more than just shops — they’re institutions of nightlife and community. Open late, full of character, and somehow always part of a good night out.
Tonight each category will take inspiration from certain aspects of a kiosk. As this is a kiki, remember to be creative, and most importantly — have fun!

Dyke Out - Carabiners frenzy 🏆
Carabiners are a strong signifier in lesbian culture, similar to the gay men's Hanky code. You stopped by your local kiosk to buy a few new tools and decorations to add to your belt loop chain, and now you're sitting in front knocking down a few beers with your friends. Come show us your collection.

Beginners Runway OTA - Smoking Hot 🏆
If you know Mother Gina Angels, you know that the first thing she does when she arrives in Copenhagen is to get a pack of cigs at the local kiosk. Bring it in a look inspired by a cigarette brand of your own choice - you don't have to show the brand's name, but make sure you have a reference picture.

WHAT IS BALLROOM?
The underground ballroom scene has it roots as far back as to the 1920 in Harlem, New York, and was created by the Black and Latin Trans women and Drags, as a new safe space due to racism they faced within the white pageant scene. It evolved into many new categories and became not only a space for trans women of colour to enjoy the safeties of community but of all queer people of colour to create and express what was not allowed at the time to express in the public.
While the community is not as segregated as it used to be, we remind you that the space was created and are ruled by people of colour, and we remind you that the underground ballroom scene will not accept any types of racism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, body shaming or any types of discrimination.
Ballroom welcomes everyone and respects everyone, regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, body, sex or status. Ballroom is a place of love, unity, creativity and mutual respect. If you are not a person of colour and/or person of queer experience, we would like to reinstate that you are a guest within the ballroom community and should follow rules as everyone else.
