After years of dreaming about it, planning it, building it, and pushing through every obstacle that came with it, we are finally ready to open the doors.On June 27th, we are officially opening the Kickass Store, and we are turning it into a full day event that is meant to be experienced, not just stopped at.
This has never been about just opening another store. The goal from the very beginning has been to create a place that people go out of their way to visit. A true destination stop. A place where you can walk in and feel the energy, see something different, and leave with more than just a product.
At the same time, we are also opening something brand new alongside it, The Black Lantern bourbon and whiskey store.
The Black Lantern is not designed to be your typical place where you walk in, grab a bottle, and leave. It is built around the idea that when you walk out, you understand more than you did when you came in. We want people to learn about the process, the craftsmanship, and what actually goes into making a great bourbon or whiskey. It is meant to be an experience just as much as it is a store.
For the grand opening, we are bringing everything together and making it a full day of entertainment, music, food, and community.
We will have live music throughout the day with two bands that mean a lot to me personally. Minnesota Spice will be playing, which is an all girl band that my sister is a part of, and we will also have 6th Avenue, with one of my good friends on the drums. Having both of these groups there makes this event even more special.
We will also have food trucks on site. We are still locking in exactly which ones will be there, but we will be announcing those soon.
Throughout the day there will be entertainment, people to meet, and a chance to experience everything we have been building. Inside the store you will find the full lineup of Kickass products along with a wide variety of other items that we have carefully selected to help make this place something unique.
This day is not just about opening doors. It is about bringing people together, creating an atmosphere, and finally sharing something that has taken years to build.
