Homer is a small town in Winona County a few miles down river from Winona. This lively community will be celebrating their history and heritage with historic building tours and many activities on Saturday, June 27, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.The Bunnell House will be open for self-guided tours during the celebration too! Free-will donation are encouraged.
The Bunnell House is a historic house museum. It belonged to Willard and Matilda Bunnell, who built it around 1850. The Bunnells were trappers and traders during the turbulent time of
westward expansion. Willard’s brother, Lafayette Bunnell lived in the home later in life and often gave lectures in the parlor about his adventures.
