About this Event
The Journey Inward invites us to turn our attention toward the landscape within. On the dance floor, there is space to soften the focus on the outside world and begin to listen more deeply to what lives inside. Sensations, emotions, and subtle movements that often go unnoticed in the pace of everyday life.
Through music and movement, we create space to explore this inner terrain, the familiar and the unknown, the stillness and the stirrings, the layers waiting to be felt. This is a space to move with curiosity and presence, allowing the body to guide the way inward.
The invitation for the evening is to bring an intention that supports your journey within. It may be to listen more closely, to reconnect with a part of yourself, or simply to follow whatever arises without needing to understand it. Let the dance floor be a space where you can meet yourself as you are, and allow your inner rhythm to unfold. Hassti Hamidi is the music curator of the evening.

What is Conscious Movement Practice/ Ecstatic Dance?
Conscious Movement Practice is a unique style of dance that is all about free expression and letting your body move to the beat of your own drum. Unlike traditional dance classes, there’s no choreography to follow or steps to learn. Instead, it’s all about letting go and allowing the music to guide you, enabling authentic movement exploration. Conscious Movement Practice has been demonstrated to help with stress and anxiety reduction, promoting alignment of mind, body, soul, and spirit. During a Conscious Movement Practice session, you’ll find yourself surrounded by a community of like-minded individuals who share a passion for movement and self-exploration. Everyone, regardless of their dance experience, is welcome to participate and enjoy the fun.
